Industry challenges
The realities of building,
manufacturing, software today.
On the floor, a stopped line costs money by the minute — and the data that could prevent it is trapped in machines that don’t talk to each other. Most builds bolt connectivity and visibility on late instead of designing for the floor.
01
Machines that don't talk
Legacy PLCs, SCADA and line systems each speak their own protocol, and none of them share a picture of the floor.
Industry impact
No single view of the line
02
Unplanned downtime
Maintenance is reactive — a line stops with no warning, and the fix starts only after it’s already down.
Industry impact
Every minute down is money lost
03
Paper on the shop floor
Clipboards, whiteboards and spreadsheets record what’s happening, so decisions run on yesterday’s data.
Industry impact
Blind between shift reports
04
Quality caught too late
Defects surface downstream instead of at the station, and weak lot traceability turns a problem into a recall.
Industry impact
Scrap, rework and recall risk
05
Legacy ERP & MES silos
Old ERP, disconnected MES and bespoke line software resist every attempt to modernize or integrate.
Industry impact
Modernization stalls, integration drags
Five manufacturing proven in production.
Each solution is a fixed-scope build with a clear timeline, a named manufacturing-domain lead, and outcome targets we sign off on before kickoff.

OCP — Obesity Care Provider Locator
A nationwide healthcare directory built for the Obesity Action Coalition — connecting people with vetted, ABOM-certified obesity care providers near them. We built the zip-code + radius provider search, the interactive Google Maps locator with live pins, the multi-step “Get Listed” application form for providers, and the ratings & filtering system patients use to compare doctors by specialty, insurance, and certification.

MANUFACTURING TECH STACK
The stack that meets shop-floor and quality bars.
We pair modern web + AI tooling with the protocols, standards and integration partners the floor actually runs on — from the PLC to the ERP, nothing off-the-shelf where uptime and quality matter.

Delivery process
From discovery to
pilot in 12 weeks.
A floor-grade, sprint-paced process. Connectivity, security and uptime are baked in from Day 0 — not bolted on before go-live.
01
Discovery & floor scoping
Two-week discovery: the lines, the machines and protocols, the systems you touch, and the uptime and quality metrics we’ll hold the build to.
02
Architecture & OT/IT design
Connectivity, edge, data model and ERP/MES integration designed up front — with OT and IT properly segmented, not bridged by accident.
03
Build & validate on the line
Sprint delivery with weekly demos, tested against real machine data on a pilot line before it touches the whole floor.
04
Rollout & operator handover
A monitored rollout, plus runbooks, training and documentation the floor team and maintenance crew can actually operate.
FAQ
The manufacturing questions we get most.
Still curious? Book a 30-min call with our manufacturing delivery lead — floor-fluent, integration-ready, no sales rep in sight
Can you connect our machines and legacy PLCs to modern software?
Yes — through OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus and edge gateways, we get data off the PLCs, SCADA and line systems you already run, without ripping out the floor. We bridge OT to IT deliberately and securely, keeping the two properly segmented.
Can you integrate with our ERP and MES?
Yes — SAP, Dynamics 365, NetSuite and MES/WMS systems, so the floor, the warehouse and the back office share one set of numbers instead of reconciling three.
Can you help us predict downtime instead of reacting to it?
Yes. We stream machine and sensor data, build predictive-maintenance models on it, and surface a warning before the failure — so maintenance is scheduled, not scrambled. We’ll also tell you honestly when simpler monitoring gets you most of the value.
Can you digitize our paper shop-floor processes?
Yes — shop-floor apps for tablets and rugged devices that replace clipboards and whiteboards with real-time capture, so supervisors see the line as it is now, not at the last shift report.
How do you handle OT and industrial security?
We design to IEC 62443 and NIST, keep OT and IT segmented, and we’re ISO 27001 certified ourselves. Where a line must stay air-gapped, we architect for it rather than around it.
How long does a typical manufacturing build take?
A focused pilot on one line typically reaches production in about 12 weeks; a plant-wide rollout depends on the number of lines and the integration surface. We scope it fixed before we start.
