Industry challenges

The realities of building ,
commerce software, today.

In retail, the site is the store — and a slow page, a broken checkout or an out-of-sync stock count costs a sale in real time. Most builds chase features and bolt on performance, inventory truth and integration late, instead of designing for them.

01

Checkout that leaks sales

Slow pages, forced accounts, clumsy mobile flows and surprise costs push shoppers to abandon a full cart at the last step

Industry impact

Paidfor traffic lost at the register

02

Inventory that lies

Store, warehouse and channel systems disagree, so you oversell what’s gone and hide what’s in stock.

Industry impact

Cancelled orders, angry customers

03

Peak days that break the site

Sales, launches and holidays bring the traffic you planned for — and the outage you didn’t.

Industry impact

The busiest day becomes the worst day

04

Channels that don't add up

Web, marketplace, POS and social each run their own catalog, pricing and orders, and none of them reconcile.

Industry impact

No single view of the customer or the sale

05

Platform lock-in & legacy themes

Aging themes, plugin sprawl and platform limits make every change slow, fragile and expensive

Industry impact

Small changes turn into big projects

Five commerce solutions proven in production.

Each solution is a fixed-scope build with a clear timeline, a named commerce-domain lead, and outcome targets we sign off on before kickoff.

Equip2Go — Warehouse & Industrial Equipment E-commerce

A large-scale B2B/B2C e-commerce platform for Australia’s leading warehouse equipment supplier — the merger of 5 standalone stores (Castors2Go, Ladders2Go, Trolleys2Go, Plastics2Go and Lifting2Go) into one unified site. We built the multi-category catalog with deep filtering, detailed product data-sheets & specification tables, dynamic pricing (ex-GST/inc-GST, RRP, sale %), state-wide warehouse locator, government purchase-order support, and the “shop by category” trending & popular-products engine.

OCP — Obesity Care Provider Locator

A nationwide healthcare directory built for the Obesity Action Coalition — connecting people with vetted, ABOM-certified obesity care providers near them. We built the zip-code + radius provider search, the interactive Google Maps locator with live pins, the multi-step “Get Listed” application form for providers, and the ratings & filtering system patients use to compare doctors by specialty, insurance, and certification.

Delivery process

From discovery to
pilot in 12 weeks.

A conversion-focused, sprint-paced process. Performance and peak-readiness are baked in from Day 0 — not bolted on before launch.

01

Discovery & conversion scoping

Two-week discovery: the funnel, the drop-offs, the integrations you touch, and the outcome metrics we’ll hold the build to.

02

 Architecture & storefront UX

Platform, catalog and checkout design, integration map, and a performance budget set before a line of build code.

03

Build & load-test

Sprint delivery with weekly demos, real integration testing, and load tests against your peak — not a quiet Tuesday.

04

Launch & peak-readiness handover

A monitored launch, plus runbooks, a performance report and a peak-day plan your team can operate.

Which platform should we build on — Shopify, WooCommerce, Neto/Maropost, or custom?

It depends on your catalog, your channels and where you’re headed — and we’ll tell you honestly, including when your current platform is fine and doesn’t need replacing. We build across Shopify/Plus, WooCommerce, Neto/Maropost, Magento and headless, and pick the one that fits your business, not the one that bills the most hours.

Yes — that’s usually where the money is. We trace where shoppers drop off, fix the speed, mobile flow and friction, and measure the lift. A prettier store that still leaks carts isn’t a win.

Yes. We integrate your store with ERP, POS, 3PL/OMS and marketplaces so stock, pricing and orders reconcile — one source of truth instead of four systems disagreeing.

That’s what the load testing and performance budget are for. We test against your real peak, tune caching and the CDN, and hand you a peak-day plan — so the busiest day isn’t the one that goes down.

A focused build or replatform typically reaches production in about 12 weeks; larger, multi-channel builds depend on the integration surface. We scope it fixed before we start.
